Mrs. Franklin This is my 11th year teaching Kindergarten in Volusia County. I graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2003. I have been married to my wonderful husband Joshua for 9 years now. We have been blessed with a sweet baby girlwho is turning 4 and a beautiful baby boy who will be 2 in October!
Mrs. Litwiniec This will be my fourth year teaching kindergarten in Volusia County. I began my teaching career here at Debary Elementary and am so thrilled to be back! I earned my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from UCF and feel so blessed to be doing exactly what I love! I have been married for 12 years to my husband Matt, who is also a teacher.We have two beautiful children, Olivia is 7 and going into 2nd grade and Weston is 5 and entering kindergarten here at Debary. I am so thankful to be at such a great school and work with such amazing people.
Mrs. Marron Welcome to Kindergarten! I look forward to meeting each and every one of you!! This will be my second year here at Debary Elementary and I am very excited to be joining the Kindergarten Team! I graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2008 and began teaching at Osteen Elementary, where I taught both Kindergarten and Third grade. However, I have been an active participant in Volusia County Schools since 2000, beginning as a substitute teacher and parent volunteer in the classroom and school organizations such as the PTA, VIPS, DAC, and SAC. My husband, Leo, and I have two wonderful children; Jonathan, 18, will begin college this fall and Christian, 16, will be a high school junior. I can't wait to begin this school year and help your child grow academically into a Fantastic First Grader!
Mrs. Ruckert Hello and welcome to Kindergarten! This is my 9th year of teaching Kindergarten here at DeBary. Teaching is a very rewarding career and I am glad I am able to continue to do what I love year after year. I started my education in Maryland and finished here at UCF in 2000. My husband and I have 3 beautiful children. Kayla is 10 and is in 5th grade, Kloe is 6 and is in first grade. Our son, Jaxon, is 3. My family and I enjoy doing activities outdoors and cheering on FSU. It is going to be another great year here at DeBary. GO EAGLES!
Mrs. Smith This will be my 10th year teaching in Volusia County. I have taught ESE K-2, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. This will be my fifth year in Kindergarten. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University. I have been married to my husband David for 29 years and have five children and two grandchildren. Brittney, 26 is married to Chris and has two children, Madison 4 and Hannah who is 2. Christie is 23 and will be graduating from Brigham Young University-Idaho in December and getting married in February. Her fiancée Justin is currently serving in the Marines in Afghanistan. Whitney is 21 and attends Daytona State College. Austin is 19 and he is serving a two year church mission in Phoenix, AZ. Jamie is 16 and is a Junior at University High. I am looking forward to the new school year!

Hello Kindergarten Families, I have 11 total years of teaching experience which includes 8 years in kindergarten here at Debary. I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2000 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and I am also ESOL certified. I have been married for six years to my husband David and we have an amazing three year old daughter named Abigail. I look forward to working with you and helping your child love learning. I am blessed to be here at Debary and thrilled to be your child’s teacher!
